The mission of the GCADAC is to reduce the negative health, social, and economic consequences resulting from the use of alcohol and other drugs. Through a variety of primary prevention, intervention and treatment strategies, the GADAC works with numerous other state and local agencies and organizations in attempt to reduce and control problems related to the use of these substances. The goal of the agency is to provide affordable and accessible quality services to the general public, as well as special high risk populations in an effort to create a safer and healthier environment for all citizens of Georgetown County.
