The Packard Institute, Inc. was founded in 2007 as a non-profit counseling and recovery center, integrating healing disciplines from the substance use disorder treatment and recovery support fields. While headquartered in Akrons Highland Square neighborhood (Birthplace of AA), our staff and those that join us can often be found kayaking through the Florida Keys - or perhaps hiking the Appalachian Trail. We have Level 3 & 4 Recovery Residences in Highland Square, and offer a range of Recovery Support services. We train Recovery Coaches in the CCAR model, and hire, field, and support Recovery Coaches throughout the community - in a variety of contexts. We are OHMAS independently licensed and certified counselors, clinical supervisors, and Ohio certified PRS (Peer Recovery Supporters).
