Services for Pregnant Women

Mosaic House provides sage emergency housing and opportunities for self-sufficiency for hundreds of women and children fleeing domestic violence and human trafficking. In 2017, 322 women and children fled abusive relationships and sough safety at Mosaic House. For survivors in need of shelter, Mosaic House provides safe housing, food, clothing, hygiene and medical supplies, household items, diapers, and other basic needs. Mosaic House staff provide services for residents and hotline callers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Residents are provided culturally sensitive, structured services to help them rebuild their lives and lead them toward independence and self-sufficiency. The Child Advocate coordinates services for the children at the shelter, who have often been witnesses or victims of abuse. Child advocacy services include age appropriate safety planning for children and parenting classes for mother to help them understance how family violence is affecting their children. Mosaic House includes a large outdoor play area, a garden, play and art therapy rooms, two kitchens, and a beautiful, light-filled living space for up to 46 people. At Mosaic House ou r mission is to provide a safe haven for women and children who are seeking to regain confidence and independence, and to live a life of equality and freedom.
