A re-entry resource and referral center. Home for Good focuses on assisting formerly incarcerated individuals, in addition to anyone who has been justice involved/impacted. establishing their lives and improving their ability to make productive contributions to society.

Home for Good Reentry Resource Referral Center is here to give guidance for both pre and post release insite and connection to the many many community resources within the Mahoning Valley.  This includes Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties.  Home for Good is also the lead agency of the Route 11 Reentry Coalition which, under that umbrella,  expands services to Ashtabula, and Jefferson counties.

Each client receives an individualized one-on-one assessment, where service providers listen to YOU in order to determine with YOU what necessary paths you will need to implement in order for YOU to obtain YOUR goals.

The agency staff encourages those who engage with our services to strive at learning where their individual strengths and weaknesses lie, and most of all, to believe in themselves.  The agency makes it a missions to

Services provided, but not limited to are:

  • Birth Certificates - State of Ohio and directives for all other states
  • Housing
    • Emergency Shelters - directives
    • Affordable Housing - directives
    • Move-in Subsidies for Rent/Security Deposit following assessment qualifications
  • Employment
    • Training programs through Professional Development Centers (PDC)
    • Employers who hire individuals who have been justice involved
    • Referrals to partnering employers - based on availability and assessments
  •  Transportation
    • Public through Transit Authorty
    • Bus passes if required
    • Other when deemed required through referral/assessment
  • Education
    • Access to GED and higher education
    • Professional Development programs with direct access to employment upon completion of training
  • State benefits - SNAP/Medical directives
  • Social Securty benefits - directives
  • Substance Use, Mental Health, and Behavioral disorders - directives
  • Legal
    • Criminal Record Modification
      • Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE)
        • 6 months post supervision on misdemeanor convictions
        • 1 year post supervisioin on felony convictions
        • State of Ohio convictions only
        • No cases pending
    • Payment of court filing fees for
      • Driving priviledges under special circumstances, i.e., work
      • CQE (as stated above)
  • Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV)
    • Education required to access legal operation of a motor vehicle
    • Case-by-case assistance for reduction of reinstatement fees
  • Nutrition Assistance
  • Clothing
