Clothes That Work provides clothing, education, and empowerment to individuals seeking employment.

Clothes That Work provides a holistic approach to job readiness and professionalism training. Our services are available to anyone entering or reentering the workforce who need assistance in obtaining work clothing or interview/job readiness training. Clothes That Work offers 3 programs for our clients to engage in:

  • Workforce Education Initiative
    • A workshop program featuring professional development topics.
    • Workshops hosted at the Dayton Metro Library are open to the public and suitable to adults and youth.
    • Through our partnership with The Springfield Foundation, we are excited to offer more workshops for both youth and adults in Clark county.
  • Clothing and Coaching Program
    • A referral based program where clients receive an interview outfit fitting and interview preparation.
    • Clothing and Coaching program is also available to those who are unable to obtain a referral for a fee of $40.
  • Mobile Outreach Initiative
    • In 2023, we launched our clothing and coaching mobile unit which allows us to provide services on-site at partnering organizations and events.
    • Referrals are still needed for Mobile Unit appointments.
    • The Mobile Unit current visits Montgomery County JFS and Greene County JFS every month.

Clothes That Work offers job readiness and professionalism workshops for both youth and adults to help:

  • Polish your resume
  • Prepare for an interview
  • Learn time management, conflict resolution, communication skills, and other soft-skills neccessary to obtain and maintain employment.

Clothing and Coaching Program

Clothes That Work offers in-house clothing and coaching services. Once referred by one of our partner organizations, clients are invited in for a interview outfit fitting with a client coach who will walk them though tips for interview success. For those that secure a position, we invite them back for a second apppointment to find a weeks worth of clothing suitable to wear to your new job. If referred by a partner organization, the service is free to the client.

Fee for Service

If you are unable to obtain a referral- no problem! Clothes That Work also offers the same clothing and coaching program for a $40 fee. Prior scheduling is required before arriving so that we can place you with a client coach who will best fit your needs.
